Sushi Amano is a 1 Michelin starred restaurant located near Shin Fukushima station in Osaka. It can be a little hard to find this place because it's located in a residential area behind a row of restaurants that face the main road. But worry not, his sign is pretty big and bright, so it'll be hard to miss. This is my second time eating here and I noticed that he got better. His food has improved and he has tweaked some of his items to bring out more flavour. Thankfully, his price has not changed and it's still 13000 Yen....for now...lets have a look at the pictures:
Mozuku Seaweed, Simmered abalone, Octopus, Snapper, Sweet shrimp marinated with monkfish liver, seared fatty yellow tail, grilled black trout, cabbage, steamed egg with river crab meat and roe. |
Squid, Sayori, Chutoro, Otoro, Gizzard Shad, Hamaguri Clam, Shrimp, Bafun Sea urchin |
Grilled Sujiko with miso, Signature Fish Soup, Conger Eel, Minced Otoro with pickles, Egg. Monkfish Liver Sashimi (Add on 1), Monkfish Liver Sushi (Add on 2), Murasaki Sea urchin (Add on 3) |
A very satisfying dinner no question about that for a dinner course to be priced at 13000 Yen for 22 items, I'd say it's a great deal. By the way, I also noticed that many tourists are starting to patronize this place so I hope Amano-san doesn't get cocky one day and jack up his prices since he ONLY TAKES CASH. Haha, yes he only takes cash, so credit cards won't save you here if you start splurging on alcohol or extra premium pieces.
