Grill Ukai as the name suggests, is a restaurant that serves grilled beef. It is part of illustrious Ukai Group, known to many locals for their strong branding and provision of high quality food at reasonable prices, although the last part is subjective. Anyway, Grill Ukai is located on the 2nd level of Marunouchi Brick Square and good thing about this restaurant is that apart from the good quality food that they serve and the good pricing (in my opinion at least), it's a big restaurant which means you always have a great chance of getting a seat here. It recently entered the top 5000 restaurants in Japan according to Tabelog and I've noticed their score is getting higher every year. This is my 2nd visit here and I ordered the 12,960 yen course (now 13,200 yen as of October 2019) which serves 2 kinds of beef for the main dish.

Given the quality and serving size of each dish, I'd say 12.960 yen was well spent on this meal. It was just as good as my first visit and every dish stood out in its on way. I love that the foie gras had a nice slightly burnt crust on the outside and yet retained its sweet and creamy texture on the inside. The sauce used with the chunky half a lobster really brought the flavor and the sweetness of the lobster flesh - even the brains tasted great. The 2 types of beef complimented each other in the sense one was very well marbled and would melt in your mouth, the other not so and thus had a greater bite to it. By the way, in case you're wondering if you'll be full at the end of the meal, yes you will because through out the course, they do serve free flow bread.
Grill Ukai is great for business dinners, family dinners or dates and I hope it remains this way!
