Sushi Ya すし家 @ Ginza, Tokyo

Sushi Ya is a sushi restaurant (it means that literally) located in a narrow alley in Ginza. For those of you who are familiar with the Udon restaurant, Ginza Yosuke, Sushi Ya is located in the alley that faces that Udon restaurant. Imagine standing at the entrance of the Ginza Yosuke and just turn around and walk straight into that alley. It might be a little troublesome to find but I guarantee a great sushi experience by one of Tokyo's up and coming sushi chefs (also known as Shokunin which means craftsmen).

Hirame, Engawa, Buri, Chu Toro, Zuke, Meiji maguro, Ika, Ebi
Kohada, Aji, Saba bousushi, kobashira, uni, anago, kanpyou maki, tamago
One thing to note about the chef in Sushi Ya, he is a very serious person. He doesn't smile much and can come across as somewhat intimidating. But, don't let that get to you, I'm sure he's a really nice person, just not as sociable as other sushi chefs (he doesn't even talk to the Japanese locals). He can speak some decent English though, so don't be afraid if you don't know what you're eating because he will tell you exactly what you are eating.
