Sushi Dai Bekkan is a small sushi restaurant tucked away in a corner of a housing estate in the Tsukiji area. If you are searching for the Sushi Dai that is related to Sushi Daiwa, then I'm afraid you're reading the wrong blog post. Sushi Dai Bekkan is part of the chain Tsukiji Sushi Dai, which has restaurants in Tsukiji, Ginza and I think some other places (I can't really remember).
Anyway, what I like about Sushi Dai Bekkan is that it is cheap, delicious and I can pick whatever pieces I want. This is not an upmarket sushi joint so please don't expect super high quality pieces. However, that being said, the quality I get is already much better than its comparables such as Sushi Ko すし好 and Midori sushi 美登利, which are both cheap and good too.
The sushi pieces in Sushi Dai Bekkan are not as large as that of Sukiyabashi Jiro but they are slightly bigger than the average Tokyo sushi. I also noticed that the proportion of rice is bigger (to fill people up) so if you're looking for a meal that is of great value for money and you want to make sure you're full after, this is the place for you.
